Zach James

With nearly a decade of experience in architecture, Zach brings a thoughtful, story-driven approach to design that is rooted in curiosity and a deep appreciation for the communities buildings serve. A Jackson native who grew up in Byram, Zach traces his interest in architecture back to childhood, when a glimpse of Jackson’s Naval Reserve Building sparked the realization that buildings could be imaginative, memorable, and unlike anything he had seen before. Today, he is inspired by projects that create meaningful places where people gather, connect, and build lasting memories.

Known for his creative perspective and collaborative mindset, Zach believes the best design balances a clear vision with openness to new ideas. Outside the office, he’s an avid analog photographer, vinyl collector, and craft beer enthusiast who enjoys exploring Mississippi’s small towns with his wife, Bethany, and their two dogs. Whether he’s discussing architecture, developing film at his favorite local camera shop, or sharing one of his many “Zach-isms,” he brings the same authenticity and enthusiasm to every conversation as he does to every project.
