Dylan Baker

Dylan has always loved drawing and designing, so it was only natural he found his way into architecture. One of his favorite projects so far has been the Gulfport Mixed-Use Development, but his dream assignment? Taking a college stadium from start to finish.

He’s a fan of pizza (well done, please), traditional wings (none of that boneless “chicken nugget” business), and a strong dose of caffeine to keep the ideas flowing. When he’s not designing, you might catch him hanging out at Good Bar, or simply enjoying the art of doing nothing.

Dylan lives by the motto: “The roof you build today will be the floor you stand on tomorrow.” He admires the simplicity of the Farnsworth House, draws inspiration from Matthew McConaughey, and has a sense of humor about his first design experience (like a CMU partition wall surrounding a condenser unit).

At the end of the day, he values honesty, good people, and the camaraderie of the WBA team. He’s all about the beach over the mountains, and says Chicago’s beauty and vibes make it one of his favorite cities.
