Brad’s path to architecture started with a pile of Legos and a love for drawing houses—thanks to an artist who used to show work at his parents’ art gallery. He grew up in Aiken, South Carolina, spent 25 years in Atlanta, and recently made the move to Mississippi with his family to slow things down a bit (and get some more time on the water!).
He’s all about smart, thoughtful design and dreams of the day a project goes all the way through construction without a single RFI. Brad is a big fan of Mies van der Rohe, home improvement projects, and Saturday morning Looney Tunes (kids today are definitely missing out). On weekends, you’ll probably find him relaxing with his family, working on something around the house, or taking the boat out. His favorite advice? “Measure twice, cut once.” Never failed him.
While he’s still discovering the local food scene, he’s never going to turn down a BBQ joint. Favorite cities? Atlanta for the memories, Chicago for the architecture. Lunch date of choice? Jesus. “Seems like a no-brainer,” he says.
