When/how did you become interested in architecture?

I became interested in architecture my first year of community college. I was majoring in veterinary medicine as well as making furniture as a side business for extra spending money. From there, I fell in love with the process of design/build very quickly and soon realized that this was a career path I could see myself thriving in and thoroughly enjoying.

What’s your favorite piece of architecture?

As of right now, it is the Thorncrown Chapel by Fay Jones. I love the experience and relation to the natural environment.

Tell us about your favorite project and why it is special to you.

Being that I am quite new to this field and have only worked on a few projects here and there in the professional sense. All of which I have enjoyed the experience and opportunities gained. I am eager to fully dive into a project from start to finish and say that I had a huge role in the Design.

Describe your job in three words.

Challenging, engaging, friendly.

Current favorite TV series / book / podcast?

Greys Anatomy is definitely a favorite, I think I’ve rewatched the series 4-5 times and it never gets old haha. I can’t say that I have a favorite book or podcast at the moment but nothing beats curling up in front of a fire with a good book and a glass of wine.

What is your favorite meal?

This is a tough one. Cooking is one of my passions and I love to find new recipes to try or to just wing it with whatever ingredients I have and see what happens! I feel like it changes everyday. Currently I would say chicken pot pie but I imagine tomorrow it’ll be something completely different. Although, one that will probably never change is my mom’s whtie beans and rice that she made at least once a week for me growing up.

If you could swap places with anyone for a day, who would it be?

This is never really anything that I’ve thought about before. I’ve never been an envious person, I love the life I have, the people in it, and all the experiences I’ve learned along the way. But I suppose it would be pretty cool to switch places with a famous actress or something, just to see how the other half lives haha!
